It's funny that I barely remember windy days in Tokyo except when a hurricane approached. Here upon the shores of the big Lake Michigan, we have Gail gorse several times a month. Now I can hear it churning wildly! Anyone who thinks the Great Lakes are small would be shocked that we cannot see the other side and that we actually have surfing here.
...oh that comment went before its time! What I meant to say is that in Tokyo the buildings buffered some, but here there is no such barrier! It's brutal out there tonight (I can hear it from inside) and it is near 10 degrees f.
Now we know why hair gel/spray is critical

ReplyDeleteIt does get windy in Tokyo, especially during the winter. It is amazing you can surf the Great Lakes! I would love to do that someday! 😆
